    Ireland remain in conversation but tough task ahead

    Ireland's scrappy victory over Armenia ensured that Heimir Hallgrimsson's side remain in the World Cup conversation going into the November international window, however, there is a steep challenge awaiting in the final two games of the campaign.

    Positive Portugal performance sets up Armenia must-win

    The management called for an Irish performance, the players obliged. Nothing tangible in Lisbon, however, the rewards should come later for Heimir Hallgrimsson's side.

    Heartbreak in Lisbon as Ireland edged by last-gasp goal

    Ireland's woes continued in Portugal as an injury-time goal proved the difference with Heimir Hallgrimsson's side narrowly edged out in Lisbon, losing 1-0 at the Jose Alvalade Stadium.
